Amber in AUS
After thinking for the last few days maybe we need to head to a pre-packaged curric like WP for next year i think i now realise what our HS is missing that i may find in a boxed curric. We are missing activities! oh, and a plan  Don't get me wrong, we play games and do some activities but i am not very imaginative. Are there any all purpose activity guides out there? I need some inspiration for some fun things to do with the kids. I need some crafts, some recipies, some art, a little of everything. So when we randomly decide to study sharks (there was a shark attach at our beach yesterday) i have some fun learning things we can do about it, that don't feel so schooly for little kids. Thanks
Chris in VA
I would say just use the internet--there are so many activities out there that all you really need is to google the subject and something like, "preschool activity" and up will pop a ton of stuff. If you can plan about a week in advance for most things but leave some room for spontaneous fun, I think you can be quite successful. linders
I love this mag and save back issues - it has crafts, active games, and recipes for kids to help make. It works for a fairly wide range of ages, so you could start getting it now and still be using some of the ideas in several years. P.S. I know how you feel, I'm much better at planning out the academics!
