teachermom2834
My 16 dd has two dress up occasions coming and both require changing her light brown/dirty blond hair color. One is for an old lady- so how to make hair appear grey/white? One needs black hair- ?? Neither requires perfection…thinking fun/low cost/low mess but actually works. Any tips or tricks beyond just a spray sold for Halloween purposes? (We’ve used some that worked and some that didn’t). Any favorite brands or vendors? Would baby powder work for grey hair? I know we have creative types here that enjoy these sorts of things 😊
knitgrl
Not exactly pertinent, but I will say, do not use red jello. My sister did in order to dress up as Cyndi Lauper, and her scalp was red for months. What about cheap wigs? 1
Katy
I think cheap Halloween wigs are the best solution. I have similar color hair and IME the spray either doesn’t work great or it falls off in humidity. 3
prairiewindmomma
With the abundance of $20 wigs on amazon, I would not risk dyeing or painting my natural hair. 2
teachermom2834
Wigs sound like a good solution! This is why I ask these things. I don’t think sprays work well and I wouldn’t want them to work too well anyway!
wintermom
I would definitely look into wigs.

MercyA
We bought an inexpensive Merci brand wig from Amazon for DD's latest cosplay, and it was surprisingly good quality for the price: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Mersi+wig&crid=2HVO7SR1PRAT3&sprefix=mersi+wig%2Caps%2C121&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
