NOKbox Accountability Thread, lol

I’ve started putting some info into my NB as I go. I haven’t tackled it in a particular order so far, just putting stuff in there as I go. (Paid a HELOC today and Electric bill; put that info in there.) 

Im going to have a day off work soon and that is part of what I have planned for that day. 
 

How are my fellow NBers doing?

Well, my kit came and it is in my drawer unopened.  
 

I was dealing with a lot of paperwork for my mom and brothers estates and now I am out of town visiting friends and I get home Sunday night and head out Tuesday for a 4 day backpacking trip.   
 

The week I get back though I will work on it.

I have a good deal of important papers sitting right on top of my box, so there’s that! 😆 

One car is brand new and our house is still pretty new, so I had packets of important information on those that got dropped right in.

I also told dd where to find the code to the safe, and that already has titles, certificates, cards, etc.

Here’s the way I’m doing it: (which is not to say this is how everyone should)

First of all, I copy the front of the page I’m filling out so I can change it/update it as necessary. I know myself well enough that it will bug me if it’s messy-looking or has scratch-outs. You could scan it into the computer too, I suppose, but I didn’t do that. 
 

Second, I keep the stack of pages for the kit together in the same order and I put a sticky tab on those I have filled out and put in the box. 
 

When I get off from work in a week or so, I’m planning to methodically add a bunch of stuff like bank accounts and estate docs.

So my kit came and I scanned and created two copies. That is all I knew I would do before my AEP students came.  I am way too busy with them to tackle this.  So, I will pick back up on Wednesday when they leave.
