livetoread Posted July 16 Posted July 16 This is so good and easy, plus super refreshing. After trying a few different techniques, I settled on this. Cut a watermelon into chunks. Freeze half the chunks, and refrigerate the rest. Put the refrigerated chunks into a blender first, then add a roughly equal amount of frozen on top. Squeeze some lime over the top (I use 1/8 lime for single servings and 1/4 for two.) Blend until smooth. I start slowly so the refrigerated chunks turn to juice and then rev it up to get the frozen. No sugar needed, even when the original watermelon doesn't taste that sweet. Something about the blending seems to sweeten things up. 6 2 Quote
Elizabeth86 Posted July 17 Posted July 17 We made this too except our recipe was frozen watermelon, coconut water and fresh lime juice. My 11 year old son, the baby, and I all loved it. No one else did. 2 Quote
