Richard Simmons has died

I know everyone is rightfully focusing on the shooting today, but I just saw a news report that Richard Simmons died today, possibly related to him having fallen in his bathroom last night.

I'm so sad.  😞 

He seemed very kind, and he helped so many people.

I saw that she died, too. 96 years old and apparently as sharp as a tack until the very end!

Breaks my heart.  From all accounts I’ve heard about him, he was a really kind person.    I hate to hear this news.  RIP

Not only that, but he was my early childhood crush with that curly hair.

I woke up to this (and the shooting of course).   So sad.   He used to date an owner (or manager, can't remember) of a local restaurant near me in CA and I would see him in there on occasion.   

He did a lot to help people who felt invisible otherwise.   He will be missed.

One of the kids found an exercise record of his at Half Priced Books a couple of years ago for $1 and bought it as a joke gift. Today ds14 came in and said “Richard Simmons died, we should play his record” so in memoriam we played the first two songs he sang on the record. I remember my mom renting “sweating to the oldies “ from the video store every so often and she would have all of us laughing and exercising. He seemed like a good person
