It's horrible, regardless of where one falls on the political spectrum.

In the clips I'm seeing he appears to be moving fine, or as fine as one could be expected to move while surrounded by Secret Service agents.

Not sure if he was supported, or they were making a ring to block further shots.  Though it sounded like he kept asking for his shoes.  (jta: SOP is a body search looking for entry/exit wounds.)

And as has been said - the only reason Reagan survived was his detail threw him in the limo (he was standing next to the open door) and sped for the hospital.  He was hit in the side with a small entry wound that bled little, but the bullet traveled and did a lot of internal damage.

Likely the shooter.  Someone (I assume on the detail) kept saying "the shooter is down".

The bullet can graze an ear and cause bleeding and damage.

I was listening to interviews with a woman that was there.  One man was carried out, and she thought someone else had also been injured.

head wounds - even grazes - bleed a lot.    and if it was just his ear, it would be bloody, but not serious damage.

I am not very politically correct, but the Rhetoric in this country from both sides keeps fueling this.  It's scary, and we know from history where this leads.  I saw a clip of the debate between Obama and Romney a week or so ago and it just really hit me how uncivilized we have become.  

I really hope that the injured recover completely and the only casualty is the shooter.

I just saw this, "An audience member was killed and the shooter is dead. Another person is in serious condition."

Shooter confirmed dead
at least one bystander confirmed dead, possibly another one.

At our school shooting, one student had their ear grazed and they are fine.  He was very lucky - we had three casualties and another student paralyzed below the waist.

Why would a shot to the ear be fatal? It’s a little flap of skin and cartilage sticking out from the side of your head.  No major arteries or anything.
