ktgrok Posted July 6 Posted July 6 I'm looking at their language arts and wondering if anyone here has experience with the lit guides or writing instruction? They also now have bundled full year courses that combine composition and lit guides and cinema as lit guides. Any thoughts? Quote
Porridge Posted July 6 Posted July 6 My 8th grade DC used 7 sisters guide to research papers in coop this past year. We had previously done WWS 1 and 2 (pre-coop). I didn't think it added much value over WWS 1 and 2. But if the student had not been exposed to expository writing, notetaking, citations, etc., then it's probably a good resource. Quote
smfmommy Posted July 9 Posted July 9 We've used the Research Guide for a couple of kids. It's a nice format if you need something that just focuses on writing the large paper. I have also used some of the Cinema Studies. I thought they were well done. I will use them again for my boys. I do like that you can type responses directly into the PDF. Definitely a plus for my dysgraphia kiddo. Can't say anything about the grade sets as a whole. Quote
