Out of the mouth of babes......Africa edition.....

So, yesterday my 6 year old asked me, "Why are all the pictures (meaning billboards and advertisements) of only brown people?"    

I gave him a very brief 6 year old world history lesson.   He thought for a minute and then asked, "So, does that mean all the peach people are from America?"

And oh my heart.   We went to our mission orphanage today and spent a few hours with the orphans and the directors.   I teared up and had a moment as I realized how happy it would have made my parents to know I brought my cousins and extended family to Africa to see where they worked for so many years.   

I am not a crier, so when I do tear up, I am really feeling it.   

I am missing my parents so much being here, home, but no longer home.....

And while I am at it, they were SO VERY APPRECIATIVE of the donations.   Thank you, all of your donations have now been given out and they kept commenting how much they loved the dolls and socks, which was the bulk of the donations.   I brought two large full suitcases full just to donate thanks to you guys.
