ScoutTN Posted June 28 Posted June 28 (edited) So lovely to sleep in my own bed, drink my coffee in my jammies, enjoy my devotional time in my comfy chair, and not have to talk to anyone for the first hour of the day! We shall see. He is on supplemental oxygen and getting breathing treatments. Today they will aspirate a pocket of fluid from his left side. If he continues to hold his own, I will stay home until Monday. Today's plan: more coffee-done finish laundry-done mail and shred-done Bible and prayer Kindle book hand wash some delicates-done cook clean two pieces of bedroom furniture-done get one coat of paint on the kitchen wall get one coat of paint on the wainscoting scrub kitchen counters clean out/organize the pantry-done Edited June 28 by math teacher update 5 Quote

LifeLovePassion Posted June 28 Posted June 28 I woke up and checked blood sugar for a fasting number... It was at the high end of normal but I have also been running an a temperature so hopefully that is the reason. I will keep monitoring it. I don't really need another problem, but maybe it's a good kick in the pants to get active and eat healthy. Still don't feel great, getting some things done this morning though. 6 Quote

ScoutTN Posted June 28 Posted June 28 (edited) Ate lunch and put some of the Costco food into the oven. Tidied the fridge, which desperately needs a deep clean, and put away food. Continuing to add things to the grocery list, keeping in mind that Ds will be gone for 5 days next week. Blouse from Costco is too big. Started on computer work. Culling my inbox, making progress. My new work email login doesn’t work. 😠 Edited June 28 by ScoutTN 5 Quote
TheReader Posted June 28 Author Posted June 28 Packed car is mostly loaded - I need to evaluate the kids' bag, add toiletries, and see if we need an extra piece of luggage or not. We fly Southwest (thank goodness!) b/c of free checked bags - between the 4 of us, we're allowed 8; right now we have 5 (2 of those are fencing gear, and 1 is an empty fencing bag), so if we need to add one more we'll still be fine. Stuff is ready for the rabbit. Need to look at my list, see what's left to do, then do it. 5 Quote
HomeAgain Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Things I have already done today: ALL THE CAMP LAUNDRY coffee meal planned grocery shopped for the next few days took ds's skates to the sports store realized I'm on a way too familiar basis with the store when they called to let me know I left his new laces there. picked up supplies for ds's teachers next year paid the mortgage Things to do: organize the cookbook binders that have gotten out of sorts 10,000 steps watch tape with ds from his camp wonder why he left with 10 pairs of socks and came home with a single sock other than the filthy pair on his feet. backyard fire tonight? Maybe DS came home from camp yesterday, absolutely exhausted. He was not thrilled about his report card, either. They gave him high marks and he disagreed. Whatever, kiddo. 4 Quote

mom31257 Posted June 28 Posted June 28 @Ottakee, welcome to the tackle thread! You are definitely doing okay! Do you like the Bible Recap? I keep seeing it mentioned in various places but have never looked into it. We went to Atlanta today. We went to Atlantic Station for shopping and food, and then we went to IKEA. It was a hot but beautiful day. The drive home was longer than the one in because of afternoon traffic. I will cook dinner soon. 2 Quote
ScoutTN Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Groceries are put away and some kitchen organizing and cleaning done. Moved the laundry and I’m done tackling for today! Gonna eat dinner and relax. 2 Quote

I do the audio version where I generally listen to the Bible reading in the morning during my commute and then the podcast after that or later in the day. I don’t always agree with her interpretations but she is very honest about how some things are interpreted differently and often provides several views. 1 1 Quote

mom31257 Posted June 29 Posted June 29 Ds ate dinner and talked with us for over 2 hours, so I was in momma heaven! He'll be a senior this coming year, so this will most likely be his last summer home. I'm trying to appreciate every moment I can. He moves off campus next year into a house, so he probably won't come home during his breaks as much. I tied some in the kitchen but I need to do more. Ds is taking a shower, so I'll hold off on doing more for now. Off to watch something... 1 Quote
