sheryl Posted June 11 Posted June 11 OK, this is simple right! ??!? Please let me know what the discount Item (1) @ $6.49 ** Buy 3, get 2 free (So, 3 would cost $19.47. I would be able to add 2 more to the cart making it 5 for that price because 2 are free. However, to look at it another way, each one of the 5 would cost $3.90. Is that correct? QUESTION - what would the percentage be? I'd like to know if those numbers reflect what would be similar to a 20%, 30% or whatever savings. ********* Same premise - Buy 2, get 1 free Same price $6.49 x 2 = $12.98 Add 1 for free $12.98/3 = $4.33 for EACH 1 That would be a 33% savings? I can't believe I'm asking this but would like to know what each savings would be for each scenario. Thanks! Quote
Arcadia Posted June 11 Posted June 11 (edited) Buy 3 get 2 discount would be 2/5 * 100% so 40% off Buy 2 get 1 discount would be 1/3 * 100% so 33% off ETA: basically buying 5 for the price of 3 so each item cost 3/5 of the item price. second scenario is buy 3 for the price of 2, so each item cost 2/3 of the item price. OK, YES! That's what I thought and came up with those numbers too but doubted myself. THANKS, ARCADIA! Quote
