Have a good trip, Amy!

Today:

  • take bag to the thrift store
  • stop by Walmart for new dry erase markers
  • wake dh.  Poor guy got home at 7 and is leaving again at 2pm
  • upload all of ds's paperwork for camps
  • check on ds's homework
  • dinner?  No clue.  It might be a "whatever" night or I might stop by the grocery store on the way back from Walmart.
  • committee meeting

My day today --

...coffee
...put away the laundry I folded yesterday
...finish prepping the science stuff for 3rd grade
*well, sort of finished - got done and had too much time left, so need to tweak
...make sure I have all the tutoring stuff, go tutor the summer kiddo
...stop at the grocery store on the way home, and maybe Hobby Lobby for batting
...come home, lunch/nap
...do some sewing stuff this afternoon
....Middle is cooking, ramen - should be good
...eat dinner, go to fencing
....come home, veg out

finished figuring out the science; I had planned it as 3 lessons/week for the 90 lessons, but as I went thru it discovered several that were not viable for whatever reason (let sit for 5 hours....let sit for 3 weeks...etc.), so in the end, only had 25 wks of stuff vs. the 30 wks I need. Easy, just spread it out more, which I've figured out but now will need more time to cut/paste/move the info around on the assignment sheets.

Put away laundry, have everything set for tutoring, will head out shortly - have about 20 mins till I need to leave

Home from tutoring

DH did the grocery run, the store didn't have some of the things needed for ramen, so need a new plan

having lunch/nap then onto the sewing

tweaked/corrected the science stuff, so that's done - that's everything but the extras

Middle will still cook, not ramen, and do ramen a different day after we can go to a specialty store for the right sauces and things

We *may* be buying our car via the dealership's online system....sounds like DH is on the call with them now. We shall see.

I guess I need to head up and sew. Snack first.

Hi guys, happy Tuesday!

I'm living on the edge again ... mostly just doing enough to stay afloat.  I'm also not sleeping great, which means I'm tired all day.  Gotta do better.

I suddenly realized that I only have 2 months to get healthy for my summer trip.  I am hoping to be in good shape at that time ... but I keep thinking it's several months away.  UGH but I hope this will help motivate me.  (Said as I just finished eating a bunch of pita chips.)

Today, Kid1 was supposed to have orientation at her new job.  She got there on time, only to be told that she can't do orientation until she has a work permit.  Who knew she needed a work permit?  She's done with high school and it's summer.  But whatever.  So more delay before she actually starts working.  Hope it's worth it.  😛 I'm also confused as to whether she needs a physician's permission or whether the school can just check the "has an unexpired physical" box.  The manager has proven difficult to contact, so maybe we should just get our chiropractor to sign off just in case.  Wonder if he'll require an updated physical (the last one was in July 2023).

We did the car juggle today with 3 cars needing to be in 4 different places.  😛  It worked out, but the person with a health appointment may have been stressed out about it.  That's why, tonight at 3am, I'm planning to drive a housemate to the airport, so that her car can be available to the rest of us.  I also need to take out the garbage at some point between now and 7am.  (And work, and walk the dog, and take a shower.)  I just wish I was feeling more energetic right now.

The kids have shown their hopefulness by piling up laundry in the hallway.  I guess they assume I'm going to do the washing, LOL.  Well, I don't mind doing it.  Kid2 will need her work shirts washed, since she was only issued 2 shirts for a 5-day week.  But where can I find some energy?

Picked up Ds from the Y.

Cooked some random freezer food (pizza rolls, tortellini, spicy breaded chx patties) to use it up and make room for meat shares that came today.

Winding down. Need my sleep on VBS week!

Next up: listen to a podcast.

I bought a new item at our grocery store--smoked chicken quarters from the deli. They were delicious! This particular store doesn't do rotisserie chickens, but this was way better.

We are packed.

I took my shower tonight because we want to leave very early.

I still need to pay a couple of bills online. I won't have time to fully update the budget book, but I can do that when we get back.

We didn't have time to play a game, but we are taking several with us.
