Indigo Blue Posted June 3 Posted June 3 I learned about them for the first time while watching this clean, hilarious comedy: 2 Quote
ScoutTN Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Yeah, they are fun! Some Memphis boardies have had some real interaction with them. 3 Quote
Terabith Posted June 3 Posted June 3 (edited) Oh, I thought everyone knew about the Peabody ducks!!! We used to go see them all the time when I was a kid! It's quite an event, with a doorman and a red carpet. Their roof headquarters are lovely, too, and the dining room in the Peabody has a pretty nice high tea spread. Edited June 3 by Terabith I'm an idiot who used the wrong form of their 5 Quote
CTVKath Posted June 3 Posted June 3 We stopped to see them on our way to the eclipse a few weeks ago. A fist fight broke out amongst some parents right behind the kids seated on one side of the carpet. It was a mess. Kids screamed and ran but security removed those parents and order was restored quickly. My kids weren't too upset because they are 12yo and 14yo but unfortunately that is our lasting memory of the Peabody Ducks. 7 Quote
Ginevra Posted June 3 Posted June 3 I loved that Karen Mills comedy clip! She’s great! So refreshing to hear someone be funny but clean. 1 1 Quote
Chris in VA Posted June 4 Posted June 4 If you have seen The Last of Us, you'll know there is a scene where they are in the lobby of the Peabody and the ducks are referenced. I confused the Peabody ducks with those in the book Make Way for Ducklings (about Boston ducks--). 1 Quote
