Ottakee Posted May 31 Posted May 31 I don’t want this to turn into a political debate but I was wondering if there are any good podcasts Christian or not that included reasoned thinkers in both sides of the issue. One that addresses political topics, societal issues/problems, etc in an intelligent discussion format where both sides are respectful of each other. I see far this side or far that side FB posts or podcasts but I am looking for one that includes both sides in an honest discussion of the issues/topics at hand. Does this exist? 1 Quote
Katy Posted May 31 Posted May 31 I haven’t come across one that doesn’t have an underlying slant. Quote
kbutton Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Maybe the Church Politics podcast—the And Campaign is behind it. 1 Quote
frogger Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Open to Debate hosts a friendly debate about various topics and they invite in a variety of guests to debate each subject. EconTalk is no longer mainly about economics and has guests from all spectrums of life. If he gets has multiple episodes on one subject or another he usually has guests with opposing viewpoints from each other. 1 Quote
answerdeskwtm Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Each post is fine so far; please continue to stick to recommendations that the OP can check out for themselves, without mention of politicians, political parties, or political issues. Quote
Brave Cat Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Tangle - readtangle.com - is a newsletter, podcast and more. I'm a reader not a listener in general, so don't know about quality of the podcast but the newsletter content is excellent, and includes summaries of how other media on both ends of the spectrum are approaching the same issues. When Isaac, the owner, gives his opinions, it is made clear that they are his opinions and he encourages readers/listeners to push back and often publishes feedback. Quote
Hyacinth Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Honestly with Bari Weiss is excellent for deeper, respectful conversation. Not debate, necessarily, though she does host those occasionally. Quote
