is it possible to delete something samsung added to their calendar program?

i went through the normal process - and it hides the trash can so I can't delete it. . . .
I can't even uninstall the stupid app from my phone!  I have another calender (of my choosing)

I'm not sure, but I had a continual battle with that stupid Samsung calendar app when I had a Samsung phone. I would make my favorite calendar app the default, but regularly that Samsung calendar app would keep showing up as the regular calendar app.  I hated all the Samsung apps. There was no way of getting rid of them. 

And so now, I convinced my DH to take that Samsung nightmare phone, and I got a Google Pixel - which doesn't push their apps like Samsung. 

Samsung - if you are listening - stop pushing your apps this way. Users want a choice! As a direct result, no one in my family will ever purchase a  Samsung phone again.
