Janna
Can I do this for free or do I *have* to have added equipment (for lack of a better word)? I saw on a site that I need a virtual PDF printer, but they cost about $100. Any other way to do this? Thanks!
Karenciavo
I have a mac and I'm no Word guru, but I simply save it as a pdf from the print window.
Janna
Problem with that is that it isn't giving PDF as an option to save as. Which is really odd. It's not even an outdated Word program.
LisaKinVA
I believe you have to have Acrobat WRITER. Most people only have the free "Reader" download. If you install Acrobat Writer, you will then have "PDF" as a print option.

LaxMom
Um, I don't have Word anymore, but I have OpenOffice (free office suite underwritten by Sun) and I have an icon to save as a pdf document right on the toolbar. I don't have Adobe, other than Reader. I'm sure there is a way to do it. 'Save As'?
girligirlmom
You can download both from here: http://www.download.com Just search for each application. We like this location because it is ad-aware safe. You can also go to each site to download: Cute PDF from here http://www.cutepdf.com/ OR Open Office from here http://www.openoffice.org/ We have both. One of my print options is Cute PDF.
