This year, we read old classic living books on American and Canadian history (This Country of Ours and The Story of Canada). I'd love to find a good resource on the history of Mexico, preferably written in a similar style. I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to the history of our neighboring country to the south.  Are there any good living books?  Upper elementary/middle school level.  I really like older books (make for great discussions on how we've evolved since).

Thank you both very much! I will check these out!

Interestingly enough, Rod & Staff grade 6 has an entire social studies/history/geography book on Latin America, so I think that will be a good starting point for us.
