Back when S graduated, I got her a livescribe pen to use in college classes the following year, because as someone who had dyslexia and did well with drawing/sketching notes, I thought it would be useful.

I'm wondering if there is a similar piece of adaptive equipment (labeled as such or not) that would be extremely useful for M that won't be on the typical college shopping lists.

A rollator walker with seat can be super helpful if she’s not already using one or a wheelchair, but some people might not appreciate that as a particularly fun gift. A high quality long handled reacher/grabber is as well. I can’t really think of anything else that would be used outside of her living quarters (like a shower seat).

Oh, what about a wearable device to track heartrate and such in an app. Like an Apple Watch or Oura Ring. Those would be more “fun” than a walker.

Seconding a few things: apple watch, cool looking noise cancelling headphones, loop ear plugs.

I live in a college town, all the college girls have those Stanley insulated cups with the big handle and straw.

I think a college logo hoodie is good too. I don't know her particular sensitivities, but lots of college students use them to regulate temperature as you're walking outside and going in and out of buildings, use as a pillow/blanket, wear the hood up to block out distractions/sensory overload. (Also, noticed college logo gear on clearance yesterday at the local university's pro shop b/c the school year is about to end!)

Compression socks in fun colors?  Electrolyte mix?  It really depends on what she already uses, but those are two things you always need more of.  (Compression gear looses its oomph over time and needs to be replaced periodically.)
