Nam2001 Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Does anyone have any experience with Lukeion logic classes? I’d love to hear any feedback. Quote

We had—and I tried with my other kid, who was younger, memorial and canceled it for the second semester. I hope we will afford Lukeion for all our kids—that was one of my son's favorite subjects, and he loved to do the homework more than any other subject. She is a fantastic teacher (he took math history last fall with her), has a very good curriculum, detailed quizzes, and interesting assignments. I highly recommend Lukeion (that's my number 2 online school after AoPS). All their courses are of the highest level of professionalism. Quote

What would you say the workload is like for the logic class? Quote

I do not remember any time reminding him of the assignments—unfortunately, my kids do the quizzes at the last moment. He was reading the book during the week, watching YouTube when they had assignments, and doing quizzes on Monday. I think 2-4 hours per week, depending on the assignments, quizzes, and exams. But it's really worth every penny and every second. 1 Quote

I have no experience with the logic class, but DS did 4 years of Greek, 2 of Latin, Greek & Roman mythology & literature, the grammar class (Barbarian Diagrammarian), and several of the 4-week summer classes (which I combined into an arts credit). Every single Lukeion class was taught at a level equal to the very best classes DS had in college and grad school, and they exceeded the level of most of his college classes. They are extremely well organized and well taught, the teachers are truly exceptional, and I can't recommend them highly enough. 1 Quote
