HomeAgain Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Good morning! After a week of sunshine and 70-90F, coming back to the overcast 30s-low 50s is a bit dreary. So is the day's agenda: laundry schoolwork meal plan schoolwork touch base with families schoolwork grocery shop (or maybe dh will tackle this one) schoolwork *sigh* I should have made more time this past week. 4 Quote
ScoutTN Posted April 24 Author Posted April 24 (edited) Lovely day here. I am sipping coffee and enjoying the birdsong and the water on the flowers in the sunshine. Need to do lots of admin today! New job things AHG things Pick up milk ✔️ Buy coffee? Tutor online ✔️ Put up my tent ✔️ Unpack a humidifier ✔️ Ds from school to practice. ✔️ I am eagerly looking forward to him getting a vehicle this summer, so that I will be largely free from the mom-taxi job! Tutor in person ✔️ Have to decide about going to church tonight. I don’t have to go for work and would rather stay home, but if I don’t go, Ds can’t either, bc Dh is not available to drive him there or home. Edited April 25 by ScoutTN 4 Quote

mom31257 Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Good afternoon! @HomeAgain, I always feel rushed with everything when I am home from a vacation. It's much easier during the summer. 5 Zoom sessions done My in-person student canceled because he had a fever and came yesterday afternoon. I hope I didn't catch something! I have one more Zoom session. I'll make dinner and go to church. Tonight is the last class for our Elijah bible study. A new one will start in June. I'll have some prep for tomorrow when I get home. 3 Quote
ScoutTN Posted April 24 Author Posted April 24 (edited) Tent is up. Will work fine, though it needs better stakes. It is lighter, easier to put up, and better in rain/wind than my old one. But hotter too, bc of the full rain fly. Trade off. It’s fine bc I rarely put up a tent in a spot with full afternoon sun and am not likely to be in my tent when it’s nice outside. Hammock in the shade or playing in the water on a hot day! It took me about 20 minutes for the first set-up. It will go faster in the future. Will give it a once over with waterproof spray sometime soon. Still haven’t decided whether or not I’m camping this weekend. Skipping church tonight, definitely. Plenty of food here. Taking a break and drinking water. Whew! It’s hot in the sun! Edited April 24 by ScoutTN 2 Quote
HomeAgain Posted April 24 Posted April 24 4/11 assignments done. The rest are: scavenger hunt/video to prove I learned poster (with selfie) read a chapter watch the sky/make a video to prove I learned answer two sets of questions midterm I have two more days to finish, so I'm taking a break for now. I'll read the second chapter tonight, make the videos and answer the questions tomorrow (when the house is quieter), and do the poster and midterm on Friday. 3 Quote
ScoutTN Posted April 25 Author Posted April 25 Picked up Ds Took down the tent Had mexican layered dip for dinner - not super healthy, but tasty. Still undecided about camping this weekend. Drat this cough! I can go just for the day Saturday, but that is not nearly as fun. And my food is already paid for. Thinking I go Friday night and see how it goes. I can always come home after dinner on Saturday if Friday night is terrible. Gonna get ready for bed and start some laundry. 2 Quote
