Shelydon Posted April 14 Posted April 14 I teach IEW for a co-op and have a few students that really struggle with the basics of writing sentences. Kids are between the ages of 11-14. Any curriculum recs that parents can use at home? I have Writing With Ease on my list, others? Quote
happypamama Posted April 15 Posted April 15 I'd look at Killgallon. They take sentences from literature apart to look at their construction, and then they teach by imitation. So one exercise might have an example sentence from The Hobbit, then a sentence they made up using the same structure, then encouragement for the student to write their own sentence following the same structure.
