Indigo Blue Posted April 6 Posted April 6 A new thought I came across today. Some wounded people hurt others and some wounded people try to make their life and the lives of others better. Wounded wounder. Or wounded healer. Just a thought as we travel to ds’s house to find a spot in totality for the eclipse. Gas stations are packed full. I’ve seen meteorologists with their rigged up cars. I have a headache. The final four is tonight. Go NC State. Lots of random thoughts. We just traveled through Alabama where….they love the governor. 😁 Quote
Indigo Blue Posted April 6 Author Posted April 6 Oh, and neighbor chickens did this behind our bushes…we didn’t know, and they were piling up in there! 15 Quote
fairfarmhand Posted April 6 Posted April 6 (edited) how fun on the eggs! I wonder what makes some people become a wounder vs others becoming a healer? Edited April 6 by fairfarmhand 3 Quote

Very interesting to think about, isn’t it? So many things to consider….individual personality vs. environmental influences. Or a mix of both. People respond differently to things, etc. 1 Quote
***** Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Wounded...personality for sure. Siblings can be in the same family and not all will seek revenge later in life. Have you ever read the book, A Child Called It, by David Pelzer? There's a good example right there of Wounded healer even though the abuse he sustained would be enough to make anyone want to seek revenge. And that's a lot of future baby chicks!! Thanks for taking us 'along' on your trip! It's fun to see far away places. Please share the eclipse when you can! 1 1 Quote
knitgrl Posted April 7 Posted April 7 It is interesting, for sure. With me and my sister, our parents were divorced when we were little. She looks back, and says, "I can't believe Dad did that!" and holds it against him. I shrug my shoulders and say he did the best he could. Sometimes it is the grace of God. With what dh went through as a kid, I think a lot of people would have figured out a way to give up on life, ie. drugs, very poor life choices, etc. And for some reason, he did not. I don't think you can really predict what will have an impact on a person, because it can be as insignificant as an offhand comment. Nor can you predict how a kid will internalize situations they have to deal with. 4 Quote
