DB in NJ
Ya know that ONE family member who just grates on your nerves? The one who you vow every year to avoid? The one who you try come what may to just smile and be sweet and pass the bean dip when they are just being so, so....them? Admit it, we all have at least one in the family, and in my wretched mind, I'm screaming in her face, "YOU'RE AN IDIOT!!!" while on the outside I'm smiling and nodding and obsessively sneaking glances at my watch! So, for those of us who now need stitches in our tongues for biting them in an effort to maintain the peace, repeat after me: "YOU'RE AN IDIOT!!!!" Feel better? I do. :D
Kris
I can't find the "I'm not worthy" smiley. You, and the others in your camp, deserve a medal or a years supply of chocolate or something. It doesn't matter if I'm with that "special someone" for five minutes or five days -- the visit isn't complete for him until he's pushed enough buttons that I actually say the words. :D
Colleen
See, it's so easy to get along with people when you're living in isolation!:tongue_smilie: Glad you got that our of your system, Donna. You can always come here and play Soup Nazi and we'll still love you.:D

After the words are out, what happens -- does he bite your head off??? My sister would scream her head off at me and not stop. Ever. SHE'S AN IDIOT!! Boy, it feels really good to say that ;)

So I am able to bring joy and happiness to others. :001_smile:
LaxMom
Nope -- everyone just has their confirmation about how unbalanced I am. So I am able to bring joy and happiness to others. :001_smile: Oh, excellent. That's exactly the same soul-affirming reception I would expect if I wasn't screaming it ("you're a bigot!" "you're disturbed!" "you're an IDIOT!!") in my head. Mostly, I think, because the whole freaking assortment has yet to notice the bigot or the weirdos. Ugh. I may need to stop for some stress pills tomorrow.
