KidsHappen
My hubby made five loaves of bread today and not a single loaf came out correctly. He has frequnetly made bread in the past and never had a problem but today every single loaf was doughy in the middle. The bread rose correctly, it baked and crusted fine but was still doughy. He started with the recommended temp. and time and then add time from there but never reached a point where is completley cooked inside. He was making Maple Walnut Bread if it matters. He has made this before with no problems but couldn't find the exact recipe he used before so he used one of the internet but has had no luck. ANy idea what he is doing wrong? Very frustrating because we would like to make a hearty but non-sweet bread for the neighbors. Thanks so much.
OnTheBrink
Hmm. Maybe if you bake it at a lower temp for a longer time it'll bake in the middle.
wenn
Since it's a new recipe, double check the pan size. Is this the only thing you've had trouble cooking? We had some things do that once and discovered one of the elements in our oven wasn't working right. That's all I can think of.
