MomOfOneFunOne
I am looking for a book divided by month that is packed with historical home-making/cooking/preserving projects. I would like to live closer to earth, grow some of my own food, preserve what I grow/buy, make things for our home, et c. I would like it to be seasonally appropriate so that the dried apples and canned apple sauce wouldn't be in January. There would be how to guides b/c I am domestically inept or, lacking that, lists of best resources for figuring it out. I'd like something Catholic but I dont' want a liturgical activities kind of book. I've got plenty of those already. I want an old time book or a modern book of old time things that a mother would have wanted for her (adult) daughter if her daughter hadn't had a mother. if you know what I mean. Each month would have cooking/preserving projects, sewing/knitting/et c. projects, decorative projects, et c. Also, historical information would definately be a plus! Any such book?
