What would you do? My family participates

Recommended Posts

in a Candlelight Tour of a historical place in our area each year. We are townspeople who greet the visitors. We did it last weekend when it was in the 30's after dark and are scheduled to do it this weekend also. The temps will be slightly higher, upper 50's for the day and the low for the night around mid 40's. My concern is my oldest dd has bronchitis this week. She's feeling much better, but still has that lingering cough and is still very tired. She can't sleep much because nothing is calming the cough. She's been resting all week and has to work on Friday for a good part of the day. Would you let her go this weekend and chance a set back? We have a busy week next week and I really don't want her to be sick again. The other thing is she is 18 now, so that plays a role in how I approach her about participating or not due to the circumstances. It's so much harder to be a mom to a young adult. What do you think?
