Bokons
We would like to get an SUV so we can tow a trailer and go camping. We have a Toyota Sienna right now, but it can't tow much at all, so we are considering trading it in (or selling it ourselves) for a Sequoia. Does anyone have one? Would you recommend it? We need an 8 seater. Thanks.
FlockOfSillies
Dh drives a Sequoia and loves it, but I don't know how much it tows. You can probably check out the specs at the Toyota website, or do a Google search for the model year you're considering. Some websites like Edmunds.com or Kelley Blue Book might have that info. We have a 2001 Suburban that we use for towing. It has the 8.1L engine (no longer available), so we can tow up to 10,000 lbs. The more people you'll be bringing, the bigger trailer you'll need -- so the Sequoia may not be able to manage a trailer suitable for your family. cin
Check consumer reports car guide. Usually you can't go wrong with toyota and honda. You might be able to access it online, I'm not sure though.
lynn
You can get a tow package installed on your sienna. I can not remember how many lbs our sienna will pull. I'll ask dh when he gets home.
