Duolingo has a new(ish) app called Duo ABC and it is fantastic! DD5 is really really liking it, and has definitely made progress! We are also doing other things, some basic letter sound pages I got off teachers pay teachers to practice - we use the page that goes wit hthe letter she is learning in the app, but mostly Duo. It has a few sight words (which I do NOT like) but only a few - mostly it is focused on learning letter sounds and name, identifying the letter, building words using letter tiles, etc.

For anyone with a reluctant student that likes tech, I highly suggest checking it out!

Thank you.  My 5 year old is making slow progress this year (he is almost six). Maybe this would help!
