Need an online yarn store

Recommended Posts

Knit Picks, The Loopy Ewe, Simply Socks are a few that I know have good reps. I have ordered from Hazel Knits on Etsy and had fabulous service with great quality yarn (for socks). Also, Creatively Dyed has great service and really nice yarn too.

Here are links to 2 of them with specific product lines -- hand dyers. The 3 at the top are more general carriers of varieties of yarns.

Hope this helps!

I don't know how much you know about knitting and yarns. But if you don't know much about it, you might want to ask questions before ordering to make sure you have enough to get a pair out of the order. Some skeins are of 50 gram size which would require 2 balls (and you would want them to be of the same dye lot as well). If you already know all of this, then feel free to ignore.

Thank you!

I am thinking about buying her two balls of this yarn:

and two balls of this:

Do you think that would work?

Yes. It think those would be lovely and make really cute socks. I have some Cascade hand painted in my stash drawer right now. Really pretty stuff!

Socks are fun! The socks in my avatar are made with the Creatively Dyed yarn. I won some in a contest. It is really nice and has fabulous yardage for the price too!

Thank you!

My mom's yarn is on it's way! I hope she likes the colors I picked. If not I know what I will be getting for Christmas next year... socks, those socks!

Wonderful! Isn't it nice to be able to shop like that, from home. I hope she likes her yarns. I love yarn. I think I will go work on some of mine right now.
