Janeway
Anyone try this or who can compare to the Primary US Edition? I have and like the Primary US Edition, but I am curious about the new Primary 2022 edition, especially for my struggling math student. Malam
Primary math definitely takes a slower approach, but you can also look at MUS or Kate Snow's Math with confidence for kids who just aren't up to singapore

This would mean that in order to do MUS, I would need part of every level from gamma to Zeta. The scope and sequence is too different. And Kate Snow’s math is just through grade 2. BusyMom5
For a struggling student I'd suggest something with a lot of review- like Saxon or CLE. You can help her get through the lessons, do problems alongside her, and take it slow and easy. The amount of slow building and repetitive nature of the sets will build her confidence. I just bought the new 2022 edition for Kindergarten, excited to see what it looks like!

Sorry, I assumed she was very young. If she knows her math facts, I think she might do well to switch into Saxon as determined by this placement test. If she places into 5/4 and doesn't know her math facts, get Kate Snow's math facts that stick series and then go onto Saxon 5/4. if she places in 6/5, then you can either do 5/4 for review and reinforcement of the facts, or the stick series and then 6/5. For a comparison of SM scope and sequences, see here. If she has trouble with conceptually understanding the four basic operations, try this.
