kimberannie
fine art and can be used as an art credit. Anyone heard this before? I thought art was dance, music, drama, and drawing/sketching, etc. Thanks Kim
Ellie
Literature is *usually* a component of an English credit. IOW, each year English includes composition and literature, and grammar as needed. I suppose you could make it an elective if you did way above and beyond what's included in English, but I have never, ever heard of literature being a "fine art." Of course, at my age, I have finally figured out that there are actually many things I've never heard of.:D
Dawn in OH
I've seen literature listed as one of the Fine Arts in many places. It seems for school purposes it has been lumped into the "Language Arts" category though. I think if you wanted to use Literature as a Fine Art credit that would be perfectly acceptable. Pam L in Mid Tenn
Check your state department of education website and see what they consider an art credit.
Chris in VA
Lit as a Fine Art doesn't make sense to me at all. On the other hand, there's this definition, and it includes literature. Who knew? Still, I'd say, in common usage, Fine Art is different.
