Hi! I’m looking for self paced (or live) science classes for physical science.I wish Apologia had self-paced for physical science, but they do not. I have been reading about Greg Landry’s College Prep Science courses.. the one thing that may hold me back is the price and the fact that I would like to see an example or demonstration first, or hear someone else’s feedback. I’ve also looked at Supercharged Science. What do y’all recommend?

For self paced Physical Science take a look at Education Exploration.

My dd took College Prep Science Biology with Landry. It was a good experience but SO MUCH work. around 12-15 hours/week. My ds took Biology with Excelsior Classes this year using the same text because I knew he couldn't handle that workload. The class was excellent though!

Well I prefer Christian but it’s not a requirement. I’ll check that one out too! I appreciate your suggestion. It helps having someone narrow down choices for me!😊

Do you have an opinion on the Life Prep courses of Greg Landry vs College prep workload?

I wish I better understood his delineations.  There is a difference between not being pre-med and not being college bound at all... The college prep class took my dd a lot of hours each week.

My son did Exploration Education in 5th/6th grade and loved it. He learned a ton that year. This year he is doing Physical Science through CLRC in a live online class and it’s excellent. He loves the teacher (Shaffer) and I’m extremely pleased with everything about the class. It’s thorough and great preparation for high school science. He’s in 8th grade BTW.
