Catch up on some training videos

Figure out dinner ✔️ and make it early.

Figure out when I can get to the state park where we are camping to do a little scouting out the trails and meet the office staff etc. Was going to go tomorrow, but it’s going to rain all day. ✔️ Going Saturday, though I have to skip/cancel something else to do it.

Hi guys, happy Monday!  So far so good ....

I was hoping to start today with a shorter to-do list than I ended Friday with, but alas, it is in fact longer.  😕  Partly because someone sent me a bunch of documents I need to file (each in a separate email).  Partly because I spent a bunch of time with my kids - some "quality time" and some sitting idly in the car - but either way, it was needed, as I've been all work-work-work for a number of weeks.  I did get some work done, and some cleaning, laundry, reading, and exercise.  I can't say I regret this past weekend.  🙂

Well back to today.  The highlight or lowlight will be taking my pup to the vet.  It's been over 6 months since he's seen the vet IIRC.  I don't know whether his behavior will be better or worse, but he's never been a vet's dream.  We've been practicing with the muzzle this afternoon.  He's being ridiculously sweet and cute so far today, but all bets are off with outsiders.  (I promise we're working on this.  He's just so reactive, and it's not like I get a lot of volunteers to practice on.)

Done:

  • Laundry in the wee hours.
  • Trying to purchase software, unsuccessfully, for quite a frustrating while.
  • Slept maybe 3 hours?
  • Kids driven to school on time, yay!  Kid2 brought some Guatemalan food to use for a skit in Spanish class.
  • Ate a fruit.
  • Wordle, nerdle, quordle.
  • Completed one work project.
  • Pup stuff.
  • Yoga etc.
  • A little reading.
  • Bill paying.
  • Caught up on emails, news, calendar, social media, and electronic school stuff.

To do:

  • Lots more client work.
  • Pick up Kid1 from track practice.
  • Pup to vet & other pup stuff.
  • Vitamins, vegetable(s), water, & hopefully more exercise & reading.
  • Laundry - hoping to wash at least 2 more loads + finish the 2 in process & give the washer and laundry room a thorough cleaning.
  • Whatever else gets done.

Solved one scheduling problem for Dd for next year, but now have another one....
Headed out to pick up Ds momentarily. Not much list progress today, but I can do some tonight.
I did get some laundry started.

Ds is accepted to the charter school! Phew! SO relieved. Not excited about public school overall, but this is our best option and he was on the waitlist. Now to tackle the bureaucracy and online forms to get him registered. The charter is easy to deal with, our city public school system in general not so much.

@73349, welcome to the tackle thread family! So glad you could tackle with us today.

@ScoutTN, I'm so glad he is accepted and it's settled!

@SKL, I should put the puzzles on my to do list because I like doing them but forget about them at times.

Everything is done except reading in The Hobbit. I don't need the next chapter read until 1:00 tomorrow, and I don't have my normal morning classes tomorrow. I might put it off.  The student struggles with reading, so I'm spreading it out for him.

Pup's vet visit went fine.  He was muzzled the whole time just in case.  He was very nervous, but he didn't eat anyone, and we got it done.  Providing he stays healthy, he won't need to go back until next April.

I was wiped out after that and took a nap.  😛

Rough night here. Teenager drama. I miss the days with little kids!

Got AHG things done.
Got a request for an public school ID # filed. We need that to complete the acceptance to the charter school.
Not sure on the Saturday trip to the State Park. I think I need to not miss the other thing.   Schedules and calendar are driving me nuts lately. Everything is so complicated.

Will have more time and energy to deal with electronic chores tomorrow.

Next up: Shower and a podcast.
