The FDA is asking consumers to check their Jergens Ultra Healing Moisturizer as a part of a voluntary recall issued due to a possible bacteria contamination.

According to the recall, 3 oz. and 10 oz. packages of Jergens Ultra Healing Moisturizer may contain Pluralibacter gergoviae, a type of bacteria that poses a minor risk to healthy people but can also cause infections in people with weakened immune systems. This same bacteria also led to the 2020 recall of Cottenell flushable wipes.

Bottles manufactured between October 1, 2021, and October 18, 2021, are affected by this recall. These products are being removed from warehouses and the company is currently working with retailers to have them pulled from store shelves, too.
