Teaching3bears Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 I bought frozen breaded uncooked chicken strips. I cooked them. There were some left over that I did not refrigerate for about 3 hours. Now, a day later, can I take them out of the fridge and reheat them or should I throw them? Quote
Jean in Newcastle Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 I would eat them with no problem. 1 Quote
Bambam Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 I wouldn't. If I don't refrigerate leftover within two hours, I toss them. They might be good, but I'm paranoid. 3 Quote
Tanaqui Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Nine times out of ten, I think that if you're asking this question, then YOU should toss the food in question. (The tenth time has to do with something unopened and shelf-stable, in which case my answer is "meh, probably not".) Not because I would toss the food in question, but because if you eat something like this while wondering that you shouldn't, you'll give yourself a stomachache by worrying, and probably a headache too, and then you'll be up all night trying to figure out if it's paranoia or food poisoning. 1 Quote
MEmama Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 I'd eat them, but it’s winter and cool in my house. If it’s hot and humid where you are I wouldn’t want to take the risk. I’m pretty paranoid about chicken. 2 Quote

J-rap Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 I'd eat them, as long as they haven't been sitting in a hot area or in the sun for that long. But I've made chicken sandwiches in the morning to be eaten at lunch and have never gotten sick from them. 1 Quote
