ScoutTN Posted March 18, 2022 Posted March 18, 2022 (edited) Good morning! It’s gray and rainy. But I found lovely flowers and some cards at my place at the table because it’s my birthday. 56. I’ve taken meds and started the dishwasher. Later: B’fast and coffee ✔️ Ds to/from math tutoring ✔️ Dd to class ✔️ Meeting ✔️ Dinner out at a steakhouse with my mom. ✔️ Not excited about having to drive around in the rain all day, but thankful for a slower start and a peaceful, quiet early morning. SKL Posted March 18, 2022 Posted March 18, 2022 Howdie, happy Friday! It started off well. I slept in since my kids didn't have school. I started off following up on some open receivables. Found out one of my debtors was scammed. Been spending the past 2+ hours trying to deal with that. Currently on hold. 😕 I'm sure whoever picks up will ask me all the same irrelevant questions again and then probably put me back on hold. I had a whole list of things to do today. At least one client is gonna be annoyed at me. 😕 I have a conference call in 1 hour and then the pup trainer. It's my night to choose the restaurant. Not much else to report. Hoping to send out some work despite the above. 4 Quote
plaidpants Posted March 18, 2022 Posted March 18, 2022 (edited) Busy bee again today. Clicking through the to-do list. Finally got some info back to make progress on some of my longstanding items. Won't finish everything today but the light at the end of the tunnel is definitely not a train! Entertaining myself by wearing big kid shoes around the house while I'm working, it's good for rehab too. Fish for dinner. Windows open most of the day. Happy Friday! They dropped off a dumpster at the other end of my block at 630 this morning but so far so good, the frequent thuds notwithstanding. Edited March 18, 2022 by plaidpants 3 Quote
SKL Posted March 18, 2022 Posted March 18, 2022 I was on the phone for 1.5 hours only to be told the bank won't do anything. Well you could have told me that 1.5 hours ago. Now my other client has texted and emailed to tell me she's on vacay next week and where's her stuff. 3rd client whom I was gonna email today is out of luck. Wanna smack people. I'm sitting out of the pup training because I need to get work done. But I can see & hear it all from my window. How to avoid getting too distracted. 3 Quote

mom31257 Posted March 18, 2022 Author Posted March 18, 2022 @ScoutTN, happiest of birthdays!!! I hope it is a fabulous day! Dh had a good follow-up appointment. I tidied the house after lunch. A big storm came through north GA, so my sister waited until most of it passed. She arrived and we watched all three episodes. What an ending! It's hard to believe it ended, but there will be a movie. It has to be one of the favorite shows I have ever watched. I need to make a meal plan and grocery list. Getting started on that now. 1 1 Quote

TheReader Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 DH cooked dinner -- a replication of sorts of the meal he & I had in the German Village in Columbus. Yum! The kids liked it pretty well. I got all of the pieces cut out for this next part of the mystery quilt - yay! We ate outside since it was light so late and nice temperatures, everyone helped put things away after, and now we're relaxing and watching the basketball game (DH & I; kids are upstairs hanging out). Go Coogs! (UH). My bracket is already a disaster, but DH's is better (we just have a friendly competition b/w the 2 of us, no gambling involved). Oh, and he did all the fencing laundry, so, yay! 2 Quote
ScoutTN Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 (edited) Dinner out was nice. Service was good, food was good, conversation was good. Glad to be home in my jammies now. I even have leftover steak to have with my b’fast! Ds, stayed home, then went across the street to visit with a neighbor when he felt better. 🙄 Mom gave me $$ to get a pedicure. Hooray for spring and pretty toes! Hope to do that sometime soon, but need to get to Warby Parker to order my new glasses this coming week. Headed to bed to read. Wine made me sleepy! mom31257 Posted March 19, 2022 Author Posted March 19, 2022 I made stir fry for dinner. I started working on a meal plan and grocery list. I created a quiz for my geometry class. I plan to read some and watch something before going to bed. Quote
