SKL Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Howdie, happy Wednesday! So beautiful out. I should be walking the pup. Instead I'm working as fast as I can, and pup is in the crate. (We'll let him out after the grocery delivery comes. No point letting him out just to have him freak out.) Done: Got some good client work out in the wee hours, some personal correspondence, calendar work, and some laundry. Went to bed about 4am? Slept maybe 3 hours. Broke down boxes in the garage. Took out the garbage. Kids to school on time, yay!! One kid earned $5 for being in the car by 7:32. Wordle, nerdle, quordle. Caught up on emails, news, calendar, social media, and electronic school stuff. Set alarm for midday conference call so I don't forget! Tackled a number of client tasks, emails, and a client phone call. My inbox is at 61 to-do's. Working on coffee 2. To do: Lots more client work. The list seems to grow longer and longer. Bring in & put away the groceries. Pup stuff. Clean the kitchen, finish the laundry that's in the washer & dryer. Eat fruit & vegetables, take vitamins, drink water. Pick up Kid1 after track practice. Make the kids get caught up on their homework! Tomorrow is the last day of the grading period. Yoga etc. Reading. Whatever else gets done. 3 Quote

Brittany1116 Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Not sugar-coating... I stayed up too late and woke up the same. I got a notice from the local museums and said, screw it. Field trip day! We have done nothing but eat Mexican food and museum tours. I'll get some house things accomplished while they are at church. 2 Quote
LifeLovePassion Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Woke up, had breakfast, loaded up the backpacks, put on snowshoes and rain gear and hiked 1.5 miles to the car. We spent 3 nights at a hike in cabin. On Monday we snowshoed over 13 miles out to Lake Superior and back to the cabin. I didn't die. This is how we spring break. 2 Quote

ScoutTN Posted March 16, 2022 Author Posted March 16, 2022 (edited) Lasagna sauce is made, but no time to finish the dish right now. Still no shower. Morning tutoring session was a bust bc I forgot my headset and the coffee shop is too loud with too much background noise for my student. Boom mic is absolutely necessary in that environment. Need to log the session correctly so they are not charged! Paid two bills eta: Need to email one of Dd’s teachers tonight. ✔️ Edited March 16, 2022 by ScoutTN 1 Quote
mom31257 Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 @Brittany1116, sounds like a lovely day! @LifeLovePassion, you are a winter rock star! My classes are all done. I finished my bible study. I have a load of laundry in the dryer. I'll get in the shower after that is done and put away. 2 Quote
SKL Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 (edited) One of the zoos randomly selected my kid for a phone interview. She doesn't want to do a phone interview. I told her the other zoo has an in-person interview. She freaked out. Anxiety. I know it's normal up to a point. I also know she'll be fine in the end. Meanwhile, she couches it as MY demands / ambitions etc. which she doesn't want. She's even convinced herself that her being in track was totally my idea (because she got anxious about going to the first day of practice). She also "really couldn't" do marching band, which turned out to be her absolute favorite activity ever. She does want these things, she just doesn't want the anxiety part. Can't avoid everything for the rest of her life. Mom is always the bad guy. I wonder if things will get better when we up the OCD med dose? Edited March 17, 2022 by SKL 1 Quote
ScoutTN Posted March 17, 2022 Author Posted March 17, 2022 (edited) Dinner is done and kitchen is tidy. Banana bread is in the oven. Dd’s paper is so sloooow! I think she will not do well in this assignment. Sigh. Edited March 17, 2022 by ScoutTN Quote
