Good morning!

My BIL is in the hospital again with pneumonia, and this time he also has fluid around his lungs. He fought my sister for hours about going on to the hospital for help, and he became hypoxic. She finally got him to agree to go or she would call an ambulance. He is 17 years older than her and has had a stroke that changed his behavior when he is sick more than any other time.

  • dh's breakfast and lunch
  • medicine
  • coffee
  • meals
  • 4 Zoom sessions
  • devotion/bible study
  • walk
  • church
  • Sense and Sensibility
  • watch something and relax

Howdie, happy Wednesday!

So far so good!  I woke up late, but thankfully my kids remembered to set their alarms and got ready on time.  Also, mark it on the calendar - they turned off all their lights, hung their wash rags to dry, AND flushed the toilet this morning.  Wow, a total all-kill.  (OK I just found out that's a k-pop specific term.)

I have lots to do, but nothing super stressful at the moment (that I remember).

Done:

  • Took out the garbage.
  • Kids to school on time, yay!
  • Pup stuff.
  • Cleaned the kitchen, bathrooms, & part of the garage.
  • Ate a fruit and took my vitamins.
  • Set up for work downstairs.
  • Work discussions / planning.
  • Wordle and Nerdle.
  • Caught up on emails, news, calendar, social media, and electronic school stuff.

To do:

  • Lots of client work.
    • Report a transaction on government website, download and send draft for review by parties.
    • Final accounting for two exit transactions.
    • Start a new transaction analysis / data entry project (or preferably more than one).
    • Review various documents, file, etc.
    • Start analysis of a client's billing and receivables.
    • Whatever other important things I remember / encounter throughout the day.
    • Lots of other work in the pipeline if I finish the above.
  • "Yoga etc."
  • Pup duty.
  • Reading.
  • Eat vegetables.
  • Pick up the kids from school.
  • Kid2 to horse riding; kid1 on pup duty & homework.
  • Laundry?
  • Clean my room, and if I have time, do some personal sorting/filing of papers.
  • Send out my tax info to the preparer.
  • Assemble something I bought?  I have 3 boxes with things that need assembly.
  • Whatever else gets done.

Hi all.

Realizing I'm being set up for failure in a particularly political manner by someone at work whom I thought was above it. Time to start moving on. I go into the office tomorrow, so I'll start bringing stuff home that's mine. Clean up, clear out, document my work. I suspect the process will take a while, both the leaving and finding somewhere new, but I want to have everything tied up. Just feeling sort of sad and disappointed about the whole thing.

Got up early and did a yoga. Coffees made and breakfast ate. Tea is steeping for ice tea.

Late meeting tonight, ugh. To-Do list just keeps getting longer.

Amy - so sorry for your sister and BIL - how stressful!

This morning - coffee, email t-shirt place about two designs, paid a few bills, get kiddos dressed for dentist

To Do:
Dentist appointments x 2 for 7yo and 8yo
Quick run for some minimal groceries
Dry all the laundry we did at the laundromat last night because the washer is broken (part expected today or tomorrow!)
School
Print and look over some AHG paperwork
Create an AHG invite for pottery
Take DD to work
Chicken shawarma bowls for supper

DH has prep appt for back surgery next week.  He's been working on the conversion of bedroom to office and still has some mudding to do but dang it looks great. I love it - two big closets for seasonal and miscellaneous.  They'll bring up his treadmill & a devoted space just for him to work! He's supposed to get some lab work today and he's been focusing on a low carb Mediterranean diet so I'm hopeful he'll see some numbers change today.

I wanted to give an update but don’t have time to read all the posts right now.

So my BIL has had two heart attacks since yesterday. They did a heart cath and stents from past blockages were blocked badly. They didn’t want to do open heart with his health conditions. They were able to open the worst of the stents and are watching to see if they will stay open. So far, they are.

It’s been a roller coaster for my sister!

@mom31257 Praying for your BIL and sister! Do they have children?

I got hit in the face with a basketball at church tonight. My glasses are smashed into four pieces. 🙁 Probably going to have a black eye tomorrow and I have a headache now.🙁 I need my glasses and they will be $$ to replace. We can use our HSA to pay for them, but it’s early in the year to use such a big chunk. I was going to get a new Rx this year anyway, but now I have to do the frames too.

Next up: advil and listening to a podcast. Too tired to read.

@plaidpants, I'm sorry about the work situation! I hope you'll find something you can truly enjoy.

@BlsdMama, praying all goes well with his surgery!

@ScoutTN, I'm so sorry about you getting hit and your glasses! To your question, this is both my sister's and BIL's third marriages. My sister could never have kids because of terrible endometriosis. She was an alcoholic for a lot of those years and gave her life to Christ in her late 30s. Her husband gave his life to Christ about a year after she did. BIL had 3 kids from the two other marriages. He lost his middle daughter in 2015. They didn't do an autopsy but believed it to be a possible aneurism. He has 7 grandkids, but none of them live near him.

No other update, so maybe that's good.

We went to church and to Walmart.
