Does anyone have any recommendations for writing for my boys' last year?

They do not like writing - it has been a fight all along.  We did a lot of WWE and WWS over the years.  They are on their 5th class at Lantern English.  They've taken  Choosing and Using Sources, Exploratory Research Paper, Expository Essay I and II, and are currently doing Persuasive Essay 1.  They will be taking Persuasive Essay II to finish out the year.  They have received an A on all their assignments so I guess they can write well enough.  They are also taking AP World History: Modern Times and do a lot of writing for that.  DS2 is doing really well with the writing for that class and DS1 is doing fine (low A level work), but not like the DS2.  DS2 is killing it in that class.  Hope it translates to a good AP score.

If it includes a literature component that is fine too.  I'm tired of battling with them over school work 😋!

We have the option to do this at a good CC, but I'm nervous with how they will do in this situation.  If they aren't going to be writing for a living, do they need to take an Honors, AP, or CC level course?

I'm not there yet, but I really like that 7sistershomeschool.com has a Professional Writing for Seniors including: Business Letter, Letter of Complaint, Organizational Newsletter, Meeting Minutes, Press Releases, Product Reviews, Professional Bio, Project Proposal and Abstract.

They also have different units for Cover Letters and for Experiental Resumes.

If they're solid in Writing, why take another course instructing them in Writing? Can't the writing just naturally come out of the assignments they will have for their other subjects (like the AP Modern World History you mentioned)? And if those are subjects are not outsourced but are being overseen at home, can you hire a tutor or a grading service just to score their papers and writing assignments?

Or, focus on real life writing for 12th grade:
- college and scholarship application essays
- resume writing
- cover letter
- oral presentation with powerpoint/slides
- business letters of thanks, request for info, complain, recommendation, etc.
- write a news article or blog article

Or, dual enrollment of Writing 101 and 102 at your local CC -- dip a toe in the waters of college and learn how to navigate their "my college" online account, upload assignments, access the online syllabus and possible discussion section, schedule themselves to get work done, how to seek out the free tutoring, etc.
