ShepCarlin Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Has anyone used this curriculum? https://www.oakmeadowbookstore.com/high-school-courses/high-school-health-physical-education/integrated-health-and-fitness/ From what I can see, looks like what I am looking for in terms of a year of health and fitness. In fact, might be more than I "need" but couldn't hurt. I like that there is a teacher manual so I don't have to delve deep, just review to be sure questions are answered correctly, etc. The Spark book looks very interesting and I already own the Michael Pollan book they use so I take that as a good sign. When I did health and PE for my oldest we went a different route using the Great Courses “Food, Science and the Human Body” lectures and course guidebook by Alyssa Crittenden. It was fantastic and coupled with him recording workouts and a few other resources was a good choice. But my youngest would never sit through this Great Courses class so I am back to square one. Kassia Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 We used parts of it years ago and did it in the summer for .5 credit of health (I added some other resources as well). I liked the Spark book a lot and dd seemed to enjoy the couse. We didn't read the Pollan book. Probably not much help, sorry! I was recovering from major surgery at the time and it was really easy for me and she liked the parts we did. 1 Quote
