Work at church  ✔️
Listen to podcasts ✔️
Prep for Monday lessons
Finish laundry
Find library book?

Dinner is ribs, mac n cheese, salad, and leftover Brussels sprouts. Need to remind Dd to get ribs going early.

We shoveled after breakfast. It was a balmy -12. Everyone went out so we could get in quickly.

Everyone did Ring Fit or the elliptical.

Laundry is in process

Leftovers for lunch. Homemade pad Thai for supper.

The sewing extension table is done!!! DH got some adjustable legs that they were tossing out at work and we picked up the remaining parts needed for less than $5. Which brings the project total to $5 since the wood was reclaimed from a previous project.

Movie this afternoon.

Got to do a window visit with my mom.  We called in on her phone so communication was better.  It's so frustrating not to be able to hug her.

Trying to get counters in kitchen straightened up, organized.  Paperwork everywhere...

Med box refill -Still need to do

Make bacon while dh makes eggs- made both to my annoyance. Normally, dh does breakfast on Sat and Sun while I do M-F.  I even brought up a water and made him coffee this morn8ng cause he slept in too long and has an 8:30 am Sunday  School class I am not interested in attending because it is by a Great Courses class by a professor I didn't like before.  Instead I will start a class on Feb 6th about the Apocrypha which I have never read entirely

Also make yogurt slushy did

Shower didn't have time for it

Breakfast and Meds Took all

Start reading Screwtape Letters Not yet

Online church Done

Vietnamese restaurant Done

Ad-hoc zoom meeting about pissible retreat in October attended part of it

Possibly have dinner w ds, ddil, and my grandson we are going to their house tomorrow and cooking a Polish dish for them there since it easier for them to stay their w the baby.

Z

Ds, ddil, and dgs came over to pick up delayed presents that arrived including one of ours for their household, a lot if presents that came late for our older dad, a baby shower list gift of formula that someone sent here a few weeks ago, and ds's car tag renewal. It was a short visit that caused me to leave meeting but I was glad of that anyway.

still to do

put out mealwormd fot bluebirds (I saw one Friday eating holly berries and they love meal worms- they almost never come onto our property unless something like berries attracts them and then they see the meal worms.  Our neighbors to one side get them because that street is not in a forest.  We are the edge of the forest- lots of trees but open areas too like in front yard. But no lawn at all- moss, clover, violets, e5c).

Plant pansies in front porch planters

Let dh worry about dinner, etc

Search for pediatrician that is good and accepts Medicaid or cash.

Call Health Advocate re billing issue w hospital

Prep for calls that need to be made first thing tomorrow morning- call to Ortho PA re: EMG results, call to therapy licati9n that has OT, PT, pool, and speech therapy too.  ( Right now for PT and pool), and once I have that appointment, call to home care agency to cancel visits.

Do readings I need to do and want to do

@TravelingChris, it's so nice to get even a little time with our kids! Glad you had that today.

@readinmom, happy belated birthday to your dd! I'm sorry you can't BE with your mom.

@math teacher, my school work was non-negotiable, too. Tomorrow is looming!

@history-fan, dh says dd watched that show and said it was more dark than most Marvel things, but she liked it.

We went to church, got the groceries, got them home and put away, and then went back to church. We ate lunch with our friends and their daughter, who is a middle school musical theater teacher. It was nice socializing so much this weekend.

I've been working on lesson plans and still have a bit to go.

I'm doing some laundry so that dh can have his Bengals shirt tomorrow (they are distance learning the next two days).

Home from church. Still have some to do before Wed night church and a bit more to do before next Sunday.

Training for tomorrow is postponed, which makes tomorrow much less rushed!

Culled my inbox and sent 2 AHG emails.

Started some laundry.

Working on dinner.

 Read 1st Screwtape .

Fed birds and got rid of nasty suet dh had bought a box of in a non birding store.  It was supposed to be goid until some time in 2024.  I put it out about six days ago  and none of the birds or squirrels ate any of it. They were eating the seeds and mealworms I had put out.  Well, when I changed to a suet block from the bird store,I smelled the  big box kind- totally rancid.p

As to plznting pansies, one planter f4om Home Depot was quite enough for my two planters so I will have to plant the other pansies from the second planter elsewhere.

We finished Expanse seasom 6. Had a tasty dinner, and did the trash.

Just took a shower to bel9 relieve pain.

Will be reading and maybe watching somethimg

Howdie, we're back from the Kalahari weekend.  I felt like it was a success ... a few girl drama moments, but they got resolved.  Hopefully the girls feel like they made good memories.  I was happy to be able to host the girls, but I hated the way Kalahari is doing a lot of things.  Everything is ridiculously overpriced, rigid, unaccommodating.  I think it's worse than it used to be ... but it's been a couple years since we went, so I'm not sure.

I ate very badly and didn't do my usual exercise, but I did other exercise - a lot of walking, lifting, carrying.  I slept and drank water.  So not too bad.

I finished one of the books I had committed to finishing last week.  The other one is still in process.  I couldn't do anything personal all weekend, as I was never alone except for maybe 10 bathroom minutes.  😛

Driving home was interesting with the snow.  I couldn't pull very far into my driveway.  But on the positive side, the kids have a snow day tomorrow.  😛

Well, nothing really interesting to report, so I'm gonna go to bed pretty soon, I think.

We hosted 9 kids and 1 adult at the Kalahari Resort (indoor waterpark etc.) about an hour drive from my house.

Kid2 wanted to host her horse friends for her birthday experience, and we also invited some old school friends (and one mom) so my other kid would have someone to hang with.  It was a blast.
