Catwoman Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 The report I read said that Louie Anderson had been battling cancer. The speculation is that Meat Loaf died of Covid, but I’m not sure whether or not that has been confirmed. Another sad day… 😞 3 Quote
itsheresomewhere Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 Meatloaf had a lot of health problems especially in the recent years. His last concert my friend went too honestly thought he wouldn’t be around much longer. Louie Anderson was such a genuine comic. I enjoyed everything he did. I am a huge fan of both. Time to watch some work from both this weekend. Quote
wendyroo Posted January 22, 2022 Posted January 22, 2022 During dinner we all listened to Paradise by the Dashboard Light. Which of course led to discussions about baseball being used as a metaphor and adult decisions having long-term ramifications. Then we watched a couple clips of Meatloaf in The Rocky Horror Picture Show and talked about parallels to Frankenstein and wondered if Meatloaf actually played the saxophone or if that was movie magic...we still aren't sure, but the internet isn't providing any evidence of him being able to play. Overall a heartfelt tribute...though a touch confusing because my 6 year old is now convinced that Meatloaf actually died at the hands of Frank-N-Furter and his ax. Which seems unlikely, though until a cause of death is announced I guess I can't completely rule it out. 1 Quote
