Are we allowed to post a link to a personal business website in our signature? I tutor students in math and teach year-long math classes to homeschool students.

Thank you, and I understand if it is not allowed.

I asked TPTB for clarity on this and here is the guidance:  If you have an education-related business, you can put the link to your business in your signature, and if someone asks you about it, you can respond. However, if your only participation in the forums is flogging your business, then that's outside the spirit of the thing.  So, participate in discussions, offer advice, whatever, and if someone asks about your business, feel free to respond.

This is a bit more information, and beyond the scope of your question, but will give guidance to others who might wonder about their own situation: if your business is not related to education, and you join up only to advertise, it's fair game to label this spam.  People come to this forum around the issue of education, and that's where we keep the focus.
