matrips Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 I saw this article this morning comparing different treatments, both over the counter and prescription, for effectiveness and risk. Just fyi in case anyones loved one has come down with it and wanted to try something to help that’s accessible. https://c19early.com 2 Quote
catz Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 (edited) This is not a reliable website, they are using questionable meta analysis and studies. The comparisons they are make are not even reasonable given the data available. We still don't have double blind peer reviewed studies showing efficacy in some recommendations. Comparing a meta analysis side by side with double blind randomized peer review studies is like comparing apples and donkeys. I am happy to be wrong on this. Oxford just discontinued their double blind ivermectin study in December because it didn't look promising and they had supply issues. https://www.medpagetoday.com/special-reports/exclusives/96194 There is no easily trackable organization for this data. It links to FLCCC which is known for pushing ivermectin. It is formatted and looks like it uses the same data as c19ivermectin.com and some other websites that are tagged as unreliable. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/fringe-doctors-groups-promote-ivermectin-for-covid-despite-a-lack-of-evidence/ I have no time or desire to start pulling out the study issues in this and am unlikely to return to this thread, but buyer beware. https://www.economist.com/united-states/2021/11/27/ivermectin-may-help-covid-19-patients-but-only-those-with-worms Edited January 20, 2022 by FuzzyCatz 4 3 Quote
matrips Posted January 20, 2022 Author Posted January 20, 2022 Ah, I’m not familiar on how studies were run. Thanks. I had just thought it may provide helpful information to folks treating at home. 1 Quote
