wintermom Posted January 15, 2022 Posted January 15, 2022 With all the emerging effects of covid, I'm wondering if anyone has heard sleep apnea in connection with covid. I'm recovering from a relatively mild case of covid, but I have on-going morning head-aches and fatigue, along with "brain fog." Last night I woke myself up multiple times gasping for breath or my body spasming to prompt me to take a breath. I've noticed this happening a couple nights ago as well. I've never experienced this before, so I doubt it's been happening prior to covid. I'm normally energetic, sleep well, and rarely have unexplained head-aches. It seems like I should probably follow-up these symptoms with my dr. Just wondering if anyone has experience with sleep apnea either in relation to covid or independent of covid. Quote

There are studies showing covid may worsen sleep apnea, as well as those with it may have worsening disease process. I would follow-up with the doctor. 1 Quote
