DH’s surgery got canceled yesterday which freed me up to get DD15 from Mock Trial practice last night. I only drive our big van because of wheel chair accessibility.
i picked her up shortly after 9.  About 9:30, we met another vehicle and there was an explosive sound by my left side. The other vehicle didn’t stop and I couldn’t register what had happened. My entire window was wet.

As best as we can piece together, they threw a full 2 litter from the vehicle? The side of my door is sticky. We have an extra big mirror that allows me more visibility because it’s an extra tall 15 passenger. The entire mirror casing was broke to bits.

Thank God. DD17 had taken the night off work to transport her sister to and from practice. She’s a pretty inexperienced driver and her vehicle is much lower which likely would have resulted in it hitting her windshield. I’d like to think it wasn’t intentional but it was full of soda and when littering, people don’t usually throw up. (My vehicle is much taller.)

Grateful the surgery was cancelled and she wasn’t driving.

What is wrong with people?  thank goodness your dd wasn't driving!

The idea that anyone would do something like that on purpose is just sickening! I'm sure it was some idiots thinking they were being funny, but I wish people would stop and think of the potential consequences before they do destructive and possibly extremely dangerous things like that!

Aside from the expense (which, let's face it, isn't cheap!) someone could have been seriously injured or killed by a stunt like that.

Ugh! @BlsdMama, I'm so glad you were driving instead of your dd, and I'm relieved that no one was hurt. But I would be livid about it!!!

I am so happy that when dd's windshield was egged a number of years ago when she was about to go down a big hill that her brother was in the car and stopped her from chasing the teens in the car that did the egging.  (it was at night).

The one incident dh and I had was when we lived in LA.  We were driving on a freeway and one of the convicts working cleaning the side of the road three a glass bottle.  It hit the car in front of us and then bounced onto our windshield too but only left a ding with us.  We got off on the next exit and called the police. (This was before cell phones).

Very happy that it didn't cause a crash or hit your windshield.

Isn’t it crazy how that impulsive, failure to weigh consequences personality plays out… hence the convict part. 🤦🏼‍♀️
