Just want to give a quick PSA about these pet bowls that @ktgrok linked in another post the other day. I wanted to make a new thread so more people would see.

If you have a pet that had surgery and must wear a cone, or a pet with a flat face, these bowls are just fantastic. I never knew how much these would make life easy for my flat-faced cat (who has to wear a cone for two more weeks)! These are the best for cone wearers! (I also ordered a different type of elevated bowl, but my cat still had trouble). These bowls are very shallow, very high, and oblong, not round. She eats from these with such ease and can get all her food out. Her small cone fits over them easily. After her cone comes off, I’m sure she’ll still be able to use these bowls much more comfortably, as she has a smooshed face.

She has one for wet, one for dry, and one deeper, less shallow stainless steel elevated bowl for water.

Just wanted to share in case it helps someone else. They cost next to nothing.

Just one caveat: If you pet is sensitive to plastic, beware. These are not ceramic. I’m going to have to keep an eye on that, but they make such a huge difference for my cat, it’s worth testing out.
