MEmama Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 We have them hardwired in, but never use them. They take up just enough space that I can’t use all my under cabinet counter space the way I want to because certain things can’t fit underneath them. I’d remove them but it’s not worth paying an electrician to undo the work. They had already been installed before we bought the house. Quote
Frances Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 We installed Legrand as part of our remodel and are very happy. Music, lights, outlets all in one. Dimmable, hard wired. Not sure if can control with smart phone because I’m not a smart phone user. So wasn’t a feature we were looking for. We did buy ours off eBay, but the components had never been opened or used. We then ordered the few missing parts we wanted. Their customer service has been excellent when we had an issue with one speaker. 1 Quote

(at least I knew enough when I purchased outdoor power cords for outdoor light strands. I can control them from my phone, and program timers.) He's living with 1dd (computer nerd) and has now got smart LED light bulbs (control with your phone, control the temp of the light, dimmable, have on timers, can do fade, slowly increase, etc.). Their roomba's are set up to go at 2am, and they need light. And we live far enough north, in the winter it's still dark at 7:30 (so, fading on lights in your bedroom, don't kill your eyes by becoming suddenly bright.) So he added smart lightswitches so he didn't have to fight with the lightswitches for them. . . . Too bad he's doing that this year . . . 18 months ago, he redid all of my switches and outlets. . . . not shiny😏 (most were just replacing, some I added outlets that have built-in USB plugs. some from two outlets to four outlets) so these also have speakers?music? LifeLovePassion Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 We love our Phillips hue products. We don't have light strips yet. I did add a wemo switch and add fairy lights above a cabinet though. Quote

They have Bluetooth speakers and tablet and phone hangers. Right now we play music through an old phone on one of the hanging tabs or through a tablet. We chose not to use the hanging tabs for a tablet due to vision issues, but you might like that feature. 1 Quote
