Good morning!

I'm easing into this week. I don't have classes today, one tomorrow, and full speed Wednesday.  It snowed a heavy, wet snow during the night (I was awake and looked), but most of it didn't stick because it was so wet already.

  • medicine
  • breakfast for dh (his first day back but no kids)
  • coffee and my breakfast
  • devotion and write scripture
  • bullet journal
  • lesson plans
  • lunch (depending on if dh goes out to lunch or comes here) and dinner
  • pay bills/update checking
  • pantry purge and organization
  • tidy house
  • clean kitchen
  • watch something and relax

Hello,

Been taking it easy the past few days. Posting here because I need to get some things done:

  • Quiet Time
  • Analyze December budget
  • Get Sept-December budget ready to discuss with hubby tonight
  • Print 2021 budget, analyze and create 2022 budget to go over with hubby tonight
  • Call and refill my mom's IBrance prescription
  • Fill in the missing part of my mom's long term care info and mail.  ( She doesn't qualify yet, but this way they have all the paperwork and it will be easier when it is covered.)
  • Email prof now that Calvin Festival is cancelled ( She redid her class for me to make it a combo. )
  • Double check that I have mailed my beta readers my devotion and Spotify playlist
  • Work on the piece I will be submitting a week from tomorrow to writer's group.
  • Read the podcasting book for my class
  • Respond to email about reading list my pastor sent ( He reads a wide variety of books: contemporary issues, classic lit, theology, history, etc. Typically, he reads 50 or more books a year and always sends out what he read and asks for any suggestions for the new year. I have a few for him.)
  • Laundry
  • Perhaps most importantly, enjoy time with my husband before he leaves Wednesday. He is currently out getting his Covid test needed for travel, mailing another test Fed-Ex , getting a few things he needs at Walmart. But when he is home, helping him will actually be my first priority. First 6 things need to be done, and will probably be done before he gets back.
  • Loaded and unloaded dishwasher
  • Washed masks
  • Added my first finished book to the My Reading Life book

Good morning, all!

math teacher, good luck on your first day back!  Amy, curious to know how the bullet journaling is going...

Our dog decided to have a vocal battle with the coyotes from about 2 a.m. until 4:30 a.m.  She won, now sound asleep on the couch.  For the rest of us, zero sleep. Not the best way to start this week.   It is our first day back at school today and expect lots of absences for both students and staff.  Kids have already emailed saying they are quarantined.  Makes for interesting first week of the semester.

To do today:

  • coffee
  • shower, dress, pack bag, lunch (I made a quiche last night to fill lunch menu for the first few days)
  • school/work
  • post semester grades
  • call regarding mom's lab results, upcoming appts
  • chicken, rice/broccoli for dinner
  • watch some football, read, relax

Have a great day!

Woke up to lovely fluffy snow on the ground and trees. It didn’t stick on the roads at all.

I am easing in this week. Lots of email and other computer chores to do today. Out and around tomorrow, but no students til Wednesday.

I’ve made coffee, pancakes, and bacon.

Not feeling quite right. My stomach hurts. Glad I can just be  home today.

Dh and Dd are up and working. Ds is asleep - school starts tomorrow for him.

@ScoutTN, hope you feel better soon!

@readinmom, it's been fun! I'm being forgiving with myself on little mistakes. Do you do it, or are you considering it?

So I tried time restricted eating yesterday and ate for 7 hours. I woke up during the night anxious and wired. I think I did too much exercise yesterday and didn't eat enough calories, kind of jumped into too much at once. I'm going to eat for 10-11 hours today and then ease into shorter times. My body probably needs time to adjust.

I have lesson plans made for a couple classes.

Called the mortgage company to make sure our city taxes were paid.

What do you guys use for doing your taxes? I've been using TaxAct, but it gets more expensive every year. I used to do them completely on my own on paper, but I started doing that when dd was in college. I was afraid I would mess up the education credits.

Howdie, happy Monday!  The first regular day of 2022.  So far so good.  The nice thing is that we're starting out with a relatively clean house and not a ton of unfinished stuff.  The bad thing is that we all have mega deadlines coming up (work and school) and some of our team is not feeling well.  Oh well.

So far, I haven't been able to really take time to think about serious 2022 goals.  I will need a stretch of time alone when I'm not collapsing from jetlag.  Hopefully later today?  Meanwhile, I'm just trying to do the obvious things daily ... movement, reading, and just trying to keep up with the ongoing challenges of life.  🙂

I have a queue of soft music on Youtube Music playing in the background.  A bit of luxury, because why not?

Done:

  • Woke up on time and woke the kids.
  • Did morning yoga, yay!
  • Scraped off the iced-over car & drove kids to school.  Kids were more than 10 minutes early to school, yay!  Each earned $5.
  • Walked the pup & did some training & a few other pup things.  Ongoing pup duty as everyone else is either gone or asleep.
  • Got set up and ready for work.
  • Caught up on emails, news, calendar, social media, and online school stuff.
  • Discussions about pup, work, and weekend plans.
  • Washed dishes and such.
  • Working on coffee 3.

To do:

  • Lots of client work!
  • Check into donation pickup/dropoff.
  • Pick up the kids.
  • Stop at post office and pick up held mail.
  • Stop at chiropractor to refill some supplements.  Also check appointments / make appointments.
  • Fold and put away some laundry, maybe wash some more.
  • Probably stay on pup duty all day so the kids can prepare for their midterms.
  • Try to get to my 2022 personal goal planning stuff?
  • Some reading.
  • Some housework / maintenance.
  • More outdoor exercise with the pup.
  • Would like to ease back into other things such as practicing my TKD form(s), but we probably aren't returning to class until after midterms.

I have some small-ish projects that I need to find time for in the near future - may or may not try any of them today:

  • Figure out a fix for my broken closet door.
  • Sew rips in both of my coats.
  • Wash the clothes that have been hanging in my closet forever, and find a solution to keep them from getting dusty until I decide what to do with them.  (Little by little.)
  • Install the new exhaust fan in my bathroom.
  • Do something about the ladybugs in our bedrooms.
  • On-going purging and organizing of our closets, dressers, basement, garage, and other storage areas.
  • Make plans / appointments for my health stuff this year - to resolve my tailbone issue, schedule my colonoscopy, and generally be in good health.
  • Probably other things I'm not remembering.

Dh does ours and yes, the cost continues to go up. He usually uses TurboTax

We've used turbo-tax.  I don't really like it, but it's easy to upload last year's stuff and all that, so I'm lazy to change.

There are options to do it for free if it's simple enough.  Check out the IRS website for info.  I think there are multiple providers they work with.

Another Turbo Tax user here. (well, dh)  It has been easy to do ours, even with my independent contractor income from tutoring/teaching at the co-op, education stuff for the boys, etc.

My list today:
....figure out how to make DH's phone take bigger pictures, or try the real camera and see if I get larger with it (I cannot get the full view shot of my quilt to be large/high quality like the detail shots; the only difference is that I'm standing mildly closer on those...???)
...upload/submit the quilt (posted pics in yesterdays? thread....)
...go to the grocery store???? we are out of tons, and are enough past our quarantine that we're allowed out with masks, so.....(maybe do curbside anyway just in case)
....enjoy one last "do nothing" day before I have to kick it in gear to get ready for school (we start on Monday)

Took dh back to work and went to Walmart and Aldi.

Had a snack, and need to get baking potatoes ready soon to go in the oven. Dh has late practice so, dinner is early.

I'm late to the party today, was enjoying my lazy morning.

Not much on my list today. Too cold.

Tomorrow is errand/ pay bills day.

Make breakfast for dinner.

Dh better bring down his laundry.

Avoid my dd, she is being particularly bossy and selfish....she does not get to parent me 😔

We have our accountant do our taxes. They've been doing them since we moved here. Their prices have almost doubled in the last year! We think they're trying to cull their clientele....

Dh and I used to do them ourselves until we moved, had Capitol gains tax, plus he telecommutes and we claim his office.

I'm enjoying the noise the neighborhood kids are making, laughing and playing in the remaining snow.

Eta: no more eating out, must come up w/ a menu and plan. I ordered another crockpot, hopefully it doesn't get lost again. Will do a mini one for this week.

We ordered out. I do however have my grocer list ready for tomorrow, along w/some new recipes.

Youngest flaked on me for tomorrow lol

Dh still hasn't delivered his laundry to the laundry room

Dh and I decided to change our walk to early afternoon, it's just too cold

Throwing away all the leftovers and cxap junk food

For some reason I'm really craving pineapple
