Hilltopmom Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 (edited) Last spring 99 Walks came up here and I gave it a try. It’s an app that tracks your miles and speed. There are audio walking classes you can do (I tried but didn’t love those). You set your own monthly goal. You get mailed a bracelet with an inspirational saying each month you meet your goal. I have kept up with it and got a yearly membership when they were on sale last. I changed my goal for winter since it’s dark so early and icy here often. Overall, I recommend it. I know there are other app trackers or watches that can track but this is working and motivating for me. https://www.99walks.fit Edited December 29, 2021 by Hilltopmom 12 1 Quote
Tiberia Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 Thanks for sharing this. I'm always looking for new ways to motivate myself. Quote
katilac Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 (edited) I'm looking at The Conqueror virtual challenges. Similar idea, TC has a map of the challenge you can track on your phone, and some have street view to see where you 'are,' and you earn medals. I prefer the price of 99 Walks, but bracelets aren't going to do it for me, I don't wear them. There are others with medals that have a bit lower price, but the designs are kind of meh. Anybody using other virtual challenges? Edited December 30, 2021 by katilac 1 Quote
Hilltopmom Posted December 30, 2021 Author Posted December 30, 2021 I do wish I had the option of bracelet or charm or something else. I rarely wear the bracelets but lol still like them. They do sponsor 5 and 10Ks but you have to pay extra for those and they are not fundraisers. I prefer local fundraiser walks. Quote
