Here the US there are Red Hat Societies.  I understand that they meet up wearing purple dresses or at least tops, and red hats.  It’s quite a showing at a restaurant.  

Purple is my favorite color so I don’t need the poem to make me want to wear it.  But I have never owned a purple suit, and that bothers me.

In 18 months I'll be old enough to officially join the red hatters of The Red Hat Society.  I've been counting down the years.  Homeschoolers often bump into them at museums, botanical gardens, tea houses, live theater performances, etc.
